Imagine a family member going through the process of grieving the loss of a loved one. One can never fully understand the pain the bereaved family is going through if he or she hasn’t lost anyone. Sometimes, what can ease the sadness a little bit is the hope that you can give the person a proper funeral. But in such a hard society, this can be impossible too.
A netizen has lost a one-month-old relative and the family has procured the services of a specific funeral parlor. But when the day came that they had to move the baby’s body to the cemetery, the funeral parlor was nowhere to be seen. The angry relative provided photos that led us to believe that the parlor did not show up at all to the agreed occasion. We believe that the parlor was supposed to provide a hearse that would drive the body to the cemetery.
The netizen admitted that the payment his uncle handed the parlor was short PHP 3,000. But instead of prioritizing the money, they could have done what was agreed on because the family would surely complete the payment. Because they were a no-show, the family had to put the baby’ coffin on a pedicab and the family had to walk a long distance under the blazing sun. Even strangers who didn’t know them started to help.
What was worse for the family was that the partial payment they gave to the parlor wasn’t returned. Netizens who saw the post were both angry and sympathetic towards the family. Some are tagging and commenting Raffy Tulfo’s name in hopes that the host could help. No one deserves that kind of treatment and service.
