Earlier this week, Kapuso actress Isabel Granada was confined to a hospital in Doha, Qatar after collapsing due to severe hemorrhaging in the brain. The 41-year old actress is in Qatar for a conference when she suddenly collapsed and was rushed to a nearby hospital where the doctors diagnosed her with a brain aneurysm.
Due to her sensitive condition, misleading news spread on social media that the actress was already dead. To clear the speculations, Isabel Granada’s husband Arthur Cowley issued an official statement on his Facebook account informing the public that his wife is in critical condition and unconscious but she’s still fighting.
Despite being unable to talk, Cowley said that Isabel seemed to be exhibiting signs that she can feel her surroundings.
“Nung sabi ko sa kanya na ‘I love you,’ that the kids send their love, si Hubert, my kids, her mama, ako I think that’s when I noticed talaga there was a tear. That time, I was happy na she can hear me talaga.”
Isabel’s immediate family and friends asked for prayers and support from people all over the nation for the quick recovery of the actress.
Meanwhile, her family including her 14-year old son Hubert Aguas and Mommy Guapa Castro-Granada is already preparing to fly to Qatar. Mommy Guapa was highly emotional as she asked people to keep on praying for her daughter.
“Hindi ko kaya. Hindi ko kaya talaga. Ituloy niyo ang pagdadasal sa anak ko. [Na] mabuhay siya. [Na] magising siya. Nagmamakaawa ako. Nagmamakaawa ako.”
In an exclusive interview with GMA News, the emotional 14-year old son expressed his longing for his mother who is regrettably miles away from him at the most critical period of her life.
“Yayakapin ko po siya, hahawakan ko po ‘yung kamay niya. Tapos [hihingi po ako ng] tawad na hindi ko po siya masyado nakakausap.”
Hubert Aguas is the son of Isabel Granada with her first ex-husband, Geryk Genasky Aguas. Despite being busy with her showbiz career, Isabel is a hands-on mom who always finds ample time for her son. She even uploads photos of them on social media together while enjoying their leisure time.
