EX-HUSBAND NI ISABEL GRANADA MAY IBINUNYAG TUNGKOL SA KANYANG SAKIT NA IKINAGULAT NG MARAMI!

According to former husband Jericho Aguas, actress-singer Isabel Granada has been reportedly hiding her illness as a result of chronic headaches she experiences.

Speaking to showbiz website PEP.ph, Jericho was aware of his former wife’s health complaints back when they were still together.

“Medyo matagal na pong naramdaman ni Isabel ‘yan, lalo na yung pananakit ng ulo. Magkasama pa po kami ay lagi na po niyang sinasabi ‘yan. Unfortunately po, hindi siya nakapagpatingin at hindi siya nakapagpa-checkup.”

Isabel is currently confined in the intensive care unit (ICU) at a hospital in Doha, Qatar after she suddenly collapsed during a brief meeting with her long-time fans. The actress was with her husband, Arnel Cowley, when the incident happened.

According to reports, Isabel suffered from massive internal bleeding in her brain, indicating aneurysm, which led to multiple cardiac arrests. In an interview with the late night news program, “Bandila“, Arnel confirmed that the actress is in “critical but stable condition” and still in a coma.

Notwithstanding the slight headache she experienced, Arnel wasn’t aware of Isabel’s previous sickness. Likewise, Jericho was not familiar with Isabel’s present health after their separation after their 10-year marriage.

“Marami pa po siyang naramdaman din na pagbaba yata ng potassium, nagku-collapse siya, ano? Unfortunately, nung dumating ang mga panahon na ‘yan, hindi na kami ang pamilya niya, ang kasama. Ang aming magagawa ay subaybayan siya at payuhan siya na lagi siya magpatingin,” the Angeles City councilor said.

Even before, the actress had been going to have her checkups, but Isabel didn’t tell anyone nor did she share the results with her family. According to Jericho, his ex-wife didn’t want to burden others with her medical condition.

“Pero meron po siyang ginawa noon na checkup sa hospital na kanya pong itinago. Ang nagpaalam po sa akin noon ay ang kaibigan naming doktor. Ayaw na lang po niya na mag-alala kami,” he recalled.

Isabel and Jericho have a son, Hubert, who flew to Qatar with his grandmother, Isabel Villarama, to visit the actress. Jericho believes that his son’s presence could hasten Isabel’s recovery.

“Alam ko po at alam po namin na hinihintay na lamang po niya at lalakas po siya, lalo kapag marinig po niya ang boses ng kanyang nag-iisang anak na si Hubert at lalo na po ang kanya pong ina,” he told PEP.ph.
