On Friday, October 6, Kane Choa, head of Integrated Corporate Communications, declared that the award-winning actor will go on hiatus but will resume his showbiz career once everything is settled.

“John Lloyd will be taking a break outside the country and will return to ABS-CBN after his leave of absence,” Choa said.

This means that John Lloyd Cruz will miss the Kapamilya Fiesta Caravan on October 15 in Barcelona, Spain, along with other projects and commitments. Apparently, he was supposed to be one of the main draws of the event which includes Bea Alonzo, Enchong Dee, and Piolo Pascual.
