One of the showbiz couples who remained married for decades is Sen. Vicente “Tito” Sotto and Helen Gamboa. Their prominence in Philippine culture, whether it be in showbiz or politics, is really evident.



For more than 40 years, both Tito and Helen remained faithful and loyal to each other. Although Tito has been in the middle of numerous controversies, his wife has always been a very supportive partner to him. Their 4 children and grandchildren are proof that they have been enjoying a fruitful married life.

Helen came from a rich and prominent family before she met and married her husband. She also started her acting career at a very young age. In her previous interviews, she claimed that her mother is very protective of her, that she would accompany her to her dates with her suitors. Unfortunately, her mother initially closed the door for Tito. Although it has been rough for the senator, he did not give up on the veteran actress. They married secretly in a church in Sto. Tomas, Batangas.



After years of being secretly married, Tito pursued her again and they were wedded for the second time. This wedding marked Helen’s hibernation from the acting scene so she could focus on being a full-time housewife.

They spend most of their time in their home in White Plains, Quezon City. Their renovated old house measures 1,200 square meters. It has 5 bedrooms and a big kitchen. It also has a lanai which Helen claimed to be the most relaxing part of the house.



She also shared that her children and grandchildren spend most of their days in the house. Her spacious mansion, which is one of the first houses constructed in White Plains subdivision, already underwent a renovation process to keep its quality.
