Members of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) holding jurisdiction over Region 4-A arrested actor Redmond Christopher Fernandez Domingo more popularly known as Cogie Domingo and his wife Ria Sacasas during a buy-bust operation that took place in Parañaque City on the early morning of Oct. 27, 2017.
According to reports, Cogie was caught in the act of purchasing illegal drugs in the area.
According to Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP), they contacted Derrick Carreon, chief of the PDEA Public Information Office, through a phone interview in order to get more details about the incident involving the actor and his wife. However, the operatives have yet to confirm the quantity and type of drugs confiscated from the couple. Authorities are set to conduct a follow-up operation regarding the incident.
Carreon confirmed that Cogie is currently detained at Camp Vicente Lim, in Calamba, Laguna. Although the 32-year-old actor has been out of the limelight for some time now, this news still shocked lots of his fans and co-stars.
Cogie Domingo started his career at the age of 24 on Star Drama Presents at ABS-CBN. He eventually transferred to GMA Network and is perhaps best known for his role on the teen TV series “Click.” He stayed on the show for a year before he and his cast mates were replaced with a new batch of teen stars. He was also part of the primetime TV series “Someone To Watch Over Me” which aired its last episode earlier this year.
The war against illegal drugs has been running rampant across the Philippines since President Rodrigo Duterte took power.
