On Wednesday, Oct. 25, veteran actress Isabel Granada was rushed to the hospital in Qatar after reportedly suffering from a brain aneurysm and multiple cardiac arrests. She is currently in critical condition and will undergo surgery, as per the update of the actress’s friend and fellow actress Lalaine Bianca Lapus on the same day.

In a report made by the Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP), Isabel was in Doha, Qatar with her partner of two years, Arnel Principe-Cowley, for a business trip. She was also invited as the celebrity speaker at the Philippine Trade Tourism Conference.

Isabel’s former on-screen partner Chuckie Dreyfus then took to social media to seek prayers from the actress’s supporters for her fast recovery. In his post, he shared that Isa is one of the greatest women he knows.

“Isa is a really wonderful person. Very joyful, loving and truly passionate in everything she does. Walang masamang tinapay kahit kanino. Pala-bungisngis. That’s why it truly pains me all the more to know that this has happened to a person such as her,” Chuckie said.

“Isa, please be strong. You’ve always been a fighter… Sending you a deluge of prayers and ALL my love,” he added.

The ABS-CBN team acquired information on the same day that the veteran actress collapsed during a fan meet and greet, around 7:30 on the evening of Tuesday.

Meanwhile, netizens are pouring support and prayers to Isabel’s last Facebook post before she succumbed to coma. She wrote a Biblical phrase on Tuesday, Oct. 24, describing the day as a “blissful” one.

“As you turn your attention to Christ Jesus, feel the Light of His Presence shining upon you. Open your mind and heart to receive His heavenly smile of approval. Let His gold-tinged Love wash over you and soak into the depths of your being. As you are increasingly filled with His Being, you experience joyous union with Him,” she wrote

“He suffuses your soul with Joy in His Presence; at His right hand there are pleasures forevermore (John 17:20-21; Psalm 16:11),” the veteran actress added.
