ARIEL RIVERA NAGBALIK ABS-CBN NA MATAPOS ANG ISANG TAON SA GMA! ANO KAYA ANG DAHILAN?

A year after moving to GMA-7, veteran actor Ariel Rivera is finally back in the ABS-CBN network fold. Ariel worked on a couple of primetime series for the Kapuso network. Now, he is expected to star in an upcoming Kapamilya teleserye with Sylvia Sanchez, Sue Ramirez, Teresa Loyzaga, and Arjo Atayde.



The 51-year-old actor was seen with his castmates while filming ABS-CBN’s Christmas Station ID. Fellow celebrities Viveika Ravanes, Sharmaine Suarez, and Yves Flores were also with him. Details of his upcoming project have yet to be announced, save for the hashtag “#ATM.”



Ariel Rivera was a Kapuso star for several years, from 2003 to 2010. He then left the Kapuso network but returned to GMA-7 in October 2016 to join the cast of afternoon primetime series “Hahamakin ang Lahat” with co-stars Joyce Ching, Kristoffer Martin, and veteran actress Eula Valdez.



The veteran actor’s last project for ABS-CBN was the series “Born For You,” working alongside young stars Janella Salvador and Elmo Magalona. It ran from July to September of 2016. He also played an important role in the GMA fantaserye “Mulawin Vs. Ravena.”



Ariel Rivera is not just a prolific actor, he’s also a celebrated singer. He started his singing career after being discovered during a holiday in the Philippines. In 1989, the Musiko Records & BMG Records (now known as Sony Music & BMG Rights Management) signed Ariel to their label. Both his first and second album went platinum.

In 1992, Ariel ventured into acting and was awarded Best Supporting Actor in the movie “Bakit Labis Kitang Mahal” (1992). This landed him the lead role in the romance film “Ikaw” (1993) opposite Megastar Sharon Cuneta.



The veteran actor-singer also starred in “Isang Sulok Ng Mga Pangarap” (1994), “Anghel Na Walang Langit” (1995), “Ikaw Pala Ang Mahal Ko” (1997), “Bata, bata… Pa’no Ka Ginawa?” (1998), and “May Nagmamahal Sa Iyo” (1996).
